Book lovers gather in Bikaner for an evening of books, conversations and ideas
BIKANER: The World of Words (WOW) Book Club, Bikaner, organised an information session on August 16 at the seminar room of the Institute of Management Studies (IMS), B.J.S. Rampuria Jain College. Held from 5 to 7 pm, the session brought together book lovers for an engaging evening centred on the theme, “An Evening of Books, Conversations and Ideas.”
The session focused on books, reading habits and the exchange of ideas through literature. Participants shared their thoughts and reading experiences while interacting with fellow book enthusiasts. The event also provided an opportunity for readers to connect, exchange perspectives and build meaningful conversations around books.
WOW Book Club founders Ashima Chaudhary and Anshu Harsh said the club provides a literary platform where book lovers meet every week to discuss notable books, share their views and promote a culture of reading. The club aims to strengthen the values of dialogue, sensitivity, reflection and lifelong learning through books.
Bikaner event coordinator Dr Geetika Jain said such gatherings go beyond discussions about books. They create opportunities to meet new people, exchange ideas and build meaningful connections. These interactions can also lay the foundation for future collaborations, creative initiatives and positive relationships.
The session conveyed a clear message that books are not only a source of reading but also a powerful means of encouraging dialogue, reflection and positive change in society. With the spirit of “Read. Reflect. Relate.”, WOW Book Club continues its efforts to strengthen the culture of reading and meaningful conversations in Bikaner.
